WANDA MARY WHITEHEAD (nee BOYANOSKI) Our beloved sister, aunt and great-aunt Wanda passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Monday, August 6, 2001 at the age of 87 years. She was a resident of Vista Park Lodge. Wanda was born on November 10, 1913 and trained as a nurse at Misericordia Hospital. She held a variety of hospital and private nursing positions until her retirement. She was predeceased by her parents, Emil and Julia; her husband William (Bill) her brother Stanley; her sister Victoria Smith. She is survived by her sister Geneve Roberts of Winnipeg, her brother Frank of Brampton, ON, and many nieces and nephews and their children across Canada. Wanda was a gentle, caring soul with a heart of gold. We will all miss her. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the chapel at NBI Cremation Services, 3030 Notre Dame Ave., on Thursday, August 9 at 10:00 a.m. Service to terminate at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Wandas memory to a charity of ones choice. The family wishes to thank the staff at Vista Park Lodge for their care of Wanda in her final years.
