RUTH ROSE ANTINUIK Peacefully on Tuesday, August 7, 2001 at the Misericordia Place Personal Care Home, Ruth Rose Antinuik, aged 88 years, passed away. Ruth was predeceased by her parents, loving husband Joseph (1981) and four sisters and one brother, Bill Machinski, Dora Fitkowski, Mary Dolinski, Katie Weremy and Pauline Godfrey. She leaves to mourn her passing many nieces and nephews, of whom she thought the world, Mike and Emil Machinski, Nellie Chubko, Bill Fitkowski, Pauline Kucharski, John and Marie Dolinski, Margaret Duff, Ann Bendera, Pearl Samalgalski, Diane Weremy, Harry, Clarence, Jerry and David Weremy and Fred Godfrey. She also leaves to mourn many loving great-nieces and nephews who adored their Auntie Ruthie. Ruth was also predeceased by nieces and nephews, Mary Allen, Nellie Bishoff, Nick Fitkowski, Ann, Bill and Kathy Dolinski and Alode Godfrey. Ruth was born Ruth Rose Machinski on July 27, 1913 in Poplar Park. At an early age she moved to Winnipeg, working in various homes and restaurants, but still maintaining close family ties. Ruth married Joseph Antinuik and together they enjoyed many happy years in their North End residence. Ruth always enjoyed entertaining in their home and summer cottage and would never let anyone go home without sampling some of her great cooking, especially the "cabbage rolls". Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 10, at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., with The Rev. Henry Falconer officiating. Interment to follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
