GENE E. MILLER On Monday morning, August 6, 2001, Gene Miller passed away peacefully with family by her side at the St. Boniface General Hospital. She is survived by her daughter Marilyn Wozney; son-in-law John; son Andrew Miller; daughter-in-law Lynne; grandsons, David Wozney and Charles L. Miller; and sister Dorothy Holroyd. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Anne Hooper; brothers, Archibald, Alan and Harold; and sisters, Lila, Florence and Marjorie. Gene graduated from the St. Boniface Hospital School of Nursing in 1929, with the gold medal in Theory. She went on to become Operating Room Supervisor at Grace Hospital. In later years, Genes pride and joy were her spectacular flower gardens. A private family graveside service will be held in Holland, MB, her birthplace. In the lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Genes memory to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, 200-55 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 1L8.
