Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHASE ERICH McCLURE Chase passed away peacefully on August 6, 2001 at the Childrens Hospital, at the tender age of nine years. Chase will be sadly missed by his devoted and loving father Keith; his Grandma and Grandpa, Sandra and Tom Glassey; Auntie Caroline and Uncle Darrin, Uncle Don and Auntie Nanna, Uncle Ron and Auntie Cindy, Uncle Jamie and Auntie Leanne; cousins, Bryan, Shania, Robbie, Gary, Jessie, Samantha and Austin. Chase will also be sadly missed and forever remembered by Aunt Lisa and Uncle Gerry of California, as well as Auntie Anna, Auntie Margo and cousins in Scotland; by his dear and special friends, Sandy and Jenny Borowski; also by his mother Peggy Kraft and his brother and sister, Heather and Jeffrey Kraft. Chase was a very special little boy who gave his love unconditionally, not asking for anything in return. During his short and difficult life, Chase fought hard to stay with us but on Monday, the struggle was over, and he slipped home to God. Chase was his Dads best buddy, he shall be sorely missed. He attended Wayota Elementary School where he made new and many friends. He enjoyed bright lights, Christmas, music, going to the circus, and especially watching Bugs Bunny on Saturday with his Daddy. One of the highlights of Chases young life was his trip to Disney World in 1997 with his Daddy, Grandma, and Jennifer. He also had fond memories of going to Manitoba Moose hockey games, the Winnipeg Blue Bomber games, and the Winnipeg Goldeye games with his Dad. He was especially proud of his autographed football, signed by the Bombers, and an autographed baseball from the Goldeyes. Chase also enjoyed going to carnivals and especially spending the August weekend with Grandma and Grandpa taking in the Icelandic Festival. He leaves us with many treasured memories that we shall never forget. He will live in our hearts forever. The family wish to express their sincere thanks to all the nurses and doctors on CH4 and CH5 at the Childrens Hospital, with special thanks to his pediatrician, Dr. Sylvia Kovnats. We would also like to thank the Rehab Centre for Children, the homecare nurses and H.C.A., as well as his para-professionals at school. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the Childrens Wish Foundation or the Rehab Centre for Children would be greatly appreciated. Friends may call to pay their respects on Thursday afternoon, August 9 between 3:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. Memorial service to follow on Friday, August 10 at 2:00 p.m., also at the chapel, with Rev. Jim Draper of All Saints Church officiating. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
