ELIZABETH SCHWING Suddenly, on Monday, August 6, 2001, we lost our beloved Mom and Oma. Elizabeth was born on January 27, 1911 in Tolna-Mozs, Hungary. Elizabeth immigrated to Canada in 1952 with her family. She was predeceased by her husband Michael; parents, Anton and Magdelena Petz; sons-in-laws, Adolf Baumgart and Imre Gal. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Elizabeth Gal, son and daughter-in-law Frank and Frieda Schwing, daughter and son-in-law Katharina and Anthony Bencsics. She also leaves to mourn her precious granddaughters, Kornelia Lake (Rod), Ingrid Kerger (Kalman), Christel Parkhill (Tim), Carrie Myer (Ken) and Cathy Grahlman. Oma was also blessed with 10 great-grandchildren, Michael and Robert Lake, Marcus and Richard Kerger, Cierra, Shanlyn and Devienne Parkhill, Brett and Karsten Myer and Joshua Grahlman. Elizabeth is survived by her sisters, Maria Puxler in Germany, Magdelena Schmidt in Hungary, and numerous nieces and nephews. Oma showered her love and took great pride in her children and her grandchildren. Oma took enjoyment from growing beautiful flowers, knitting warm socks and mitts for all her children and spending time with her friends and family. Oma will be lovingly carried by Ken Myer, Tim Parkhill, Michael Lake, Robert Lake, Marcus Kerger and Richard Kerger. Prayers and Rosary will be held on Friday, August 10, between 10:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Hungarian Roman Catholic Church, 365 Burnell St. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Fr. Paul Hancko officiating. Interment will follow in St. Marys Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of their choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL in care of arrangements 586-8044
