ETHEL MAY SHIMMEN Ethel May Shimmen passed away peacefully at the Luther Home on August 7, 2001. Predeceased by her parents, five sisters and one brother, Ethel is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Ethel grew up in the Weston area and later moved to West Kildonan. She worked for Moores Business Forms and then for Systems Equipment for many years, retiring in 1980. Ethels family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of the Luther Home for their kind and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ethels name may be made to a charity of ones choice. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 10 with viewing one-half hour prior in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
