WILLIAM (BILL) CONNON It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William (Bill) Connon on Friday, August 3, 2001 at the age of 84 years. Bill was born on November 25, 1916 in Cypress River, MB and then resided in Winnipeg thereafter. Bill will be lovingly remembered by sisters, Alice Hancharyk and Hazel Mulvaney of Winnipeg, Margaret Evans of Vancouver; brothers, Thomas of Fort Frances, ON, and Frank of Cambridge, ON; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Jean; brothers, James, Gordon, Alan and Fred; and a sister Jean Foster. Bill served overseas in the Second World War as a Corporal in the Infantry and was a lifetime member of A.N.A.F., Fort Garry Unit No. 60, 279 Garry St. He worked for many years for Eatons retiring as a Warehouse Foreman. A graveside service of remembrance will be held on Friday, August 17 at 2:00 p.m. in Brookside Cemetery with the A.N.A.F. officiating.
