PETER DANYLUK Peter Danyluk passed away peacefully after a prolonged illness at the Seven Oaks Hospital on Wednesday, August 8, 2001 at the age of 82 years. Peter is survived by his beloved wife Anne (nee Yankewicz) sisters, Mrs. Mary Derry, Mrs. Anne Shuper and Mrs. Steffie Yerakis; sister-in-law Helen Nahorny (Norman) and brother-in-law Walter Yankewicz. Peter is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Peter was predeceased by his father Alexander (1949), mother Justyna (1985), brothers-in-law, John Yerakis, Joe Shuper and Nick Derry. Peter served his country in Continental Europe for four years. He became a welder after coming home from the war. Later, he became employed by Canada Post where he worked for almost 30 years. Peter was involved in many organizations including, FSNA, served in the Royal Winnipeg Rifles (Little Black Devils), Heartland Chapter (Canada Post), a member at Blessed Virgin Mary Parish (50 years) and a member of Legion No. 141. Peters hobbies included enjoying curling (30 years), photo-graphy, stamp collecting, bowling, travelling and he was an avid sports fan. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Anne, his family and friends. We wish to thank the doctors and staff at long-term at the Winnipeg Clinic, the staff of Luther Home and Fred Douglas Lodge (three years). We appreciate the gratitude and kindness from our family, friends, and neighbours. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Peters memory to CancerCare Manitoba or Salvation Army. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 14 at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Ernie Hafichuk officiating in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
