Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMONONA IDA NELSON (nee EYRES) Peacefully, on Sunday, July 15, 2001, at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Monona went to join her husband Walter. Nonie, as she was known to family and friends, was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and attended Kelvin School. She married in 1945 and later moved to Toronto. She became associated with the Timothy Eaton Memorial Church and devoted time and energy to the Lawson Group, MacLennon Group, Sanctuary Guild, Community Services Club and gave continuous support to its other activities. Nonie is survived by her nieces Shirley Bradshaw, Arlene Eyres MacLeod (Don), and Geraldine Eyres Raynard (Doug) and their families, and will be missed by her longtime friend Marjorie Douglas. A Service of Remembrance was held in Toronto on July 18.
