Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET (PEGGY) MURRAY (nee SMITH) It is with great sadness the family announces Margarets passing, on August 8, 2001, at Oakview Place Personal Care Home. Left to cherish her memory are sons, Dennis (Bev), Ken (Sandy) of Minnedosa and Ron (Jamie) grandchildren, Donna (Russ) Franklin, Colleen (Allan) McIntyre, Tracy of Victoria, B.C., Shauna and Donald; great-grandchildren, Marissa Tylipski, Devin, Dylin and Damin Maley; sister Betty (Bill) Laidlaw; special friend Jean McGee; as well as other family and friends. Her life was saddened by the loss of her beloved Donald in 1993; her parents Joseph and Bertha; sisters, Helen, Dorothy and Patricia and brothers, Art and Robert. She was born in Winnipeg on September 1, 1920. She met and married Donald in 1940. They raised their family and stayed in Winnipeg until Dads retirement from the Coca Cola Company. In 1979 they moved to Minnedosa and lastly to Stonewall in 1986. Their final residence was Stonewall Lions Manor, where she resided until her recent illness. She was a very private, gentle and generous person. She will be fondly remembered for her love of good music to listen and dance to. She loved a good book, a good joke and a good game of cards. Most of all, to her family, she will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. The family would like to give their heartfelt thanks to all the caregivers at Stonewall Hospital and Oakview Place for their kindness and compassion during this final journey. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Stonewall and District Health Centre, 589 3rd Street, Stonewall, MB, R0C 2Z0. A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 13 at 12:30 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, and a gathering of family and friends will be held in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre.
