ELAINE LILLIAN LEVACK (WALLER) October 29, 1910 - August 11, 2001 Elaine Levack passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2001, with her daughter by her side. Elaine was predeceased by her beloved husband of 67 years, Sinclair, on October 14, 1997. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Barbara Crane and husband John and grandsons, Christopher and David. Elaine and Sinclair came to Winnipeg from Toronto in 1931, where she began her life long commitment to serving her community. Her many interests included the Canadian Association of Consumers, the YWCA, The Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, The Manitoba Opera Association and the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra. She worked on the boards of and ran many fund raising projects for many of these organizations. Her faith in God was a mainstay of her life. She was a long time member of Augustine United Church and then of Westminster United Church until the time of her death. A Celebration of her life will be held on Friday, September 7 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary of Westminster United Church, (Maryland and Westminster). Cremation and burial has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elaines memory to the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra, 3rd Floor, 393 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3B 2H6, The Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2 or a charity of your choice.
