MADELINE LOUISE PROCTOR (nee PROCTER) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved "Grandma". Madeline Louise Proctor died peacefully in her suite at Oak Park Lodge in Woodlands, MB, on Sunday, August 12, 2001 Grandma was born November 26, 1900 at St. Oswalds, MB. She was married to Walter George Proctor on December 23, 1926. They had two children, George Ernest and Mareta Lillian. The Woodlands area was her home during all her lifetime. Grandma was keenly interested in all facets of the community and church and felt privileged to be active in the many organizations throughout her years. A lively interest and curiosity led her to visit many lands and areas. This too gave her lasting pleasure and satisfaction. Some of her special interests were quilting, reading and gardening. She loved visits from her family and friends with whom she enjoyed a cup of tea. Her family was most important to her above all else. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Georgette; grandchildren, Mareta (Glen), David (Anita), Claudette (Rick), Joy, Fred, and Faye; great-grandchildren, Michael, Evan, Jarrod and Kelita; sister Gwen; brothers, Hugh and Sextus; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, all of whom were dear to her. She was predeceased by her husband Walter in 1959; daughter Mareta in 1941; son George in 2000; parents, Henry James in 1952 and Mary Madeline in 1980; brothers, Ed, Jim, Reg and Herb; sisters, Irene Maude, Helen, Eva and Irene; brothers-in-law, Sam and Herb; sisters-in-law, Ella, Marjorie, Hazel, Isabel and Lyle. Prayer service will be held on Tuesday, August 14 at 7:30 p.m. in the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 15 at 2:00 p.m. in the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Rev. Arnold Johnson will officiate assisted by Robert Boyd. Cremation will follow with a private family interment later. Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandchildren, Evan, Jarrod and Kelita Proctor and Michael Kouk. In lieu of flowers, if friends and family so desire, memorial donations may be made to St. Georges Anglican Church in care of Irene Tully, Woodlands, MB, or Oak Park Lodge, Woodlands, MB. A special thank you to all her caregivers present and past. We, her loving family, were truly blessed to have someone so special in our lives. Grandma was a very kind and caring person. A warm smile and loving arms were always there for us. No words can express the pain and sorrow we feel. We miss you and will love you forever, Grandma. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall, in care of arrangements.
