STELLA DZUBA (nee MAZUR) Peacefully on Monday, August 13, 2001 at the Concordia Hospital, Winnipeg, Stella Dzuba aged 85 years passed away. Stella is survived by her sister Helen Pocalujko; brothers, John (Rose) of Winnipeg, Paul (Carol) of Beausejour; sister-in-law Mary of Hope, BC; as well as nieces and nephews, Glady Smith, Ernie Pocalyuko, Gloria Szun, John Mazur, Jr., Susan Johnson, Robert Mazur and Brad Mazur. Stella was predeceased by her loving husband Michael in 1983; by her parents John and Annie Mazur and stepfather Louis Mazur; her brother Joseph and a brother-in-law Nick Pocalujko. Stella was born at Lowland, MB on October 28, 1915. In 1939 she met and married Michael. After a brief stay on their farm they moved to Winnipeg where she resided until her passing. Stella was a loving person who enjoyed her garden and flowers - they were her pride and joy. She spent her winters knitting and doing crafts that she would donate to different charities. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends and neighbours. Prayers will be said on Friday, August 17 at 7:30 p.m. from Russell Funeral Homes, Beausejour. Funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, August 18 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Marys Church, Beausejour, with Fr. Owen Steeves officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ernie Pacaluko, Robert Mazur, John Mazur, Brad Mazur, William Dzuba and Phil Dzuba.
