Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBRIAN LEWICKI A memorial service for Brian Joseph Lewicki of West Fargo, ND, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 18, 2001 at the Boulger Funeral Home Chapel in Fargo, ND. Brian died at the age of 51 on Saturday, August 11 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo. Brian was born July 9, 1950 in Winnipeg, MB. He spent his early years and graduated from high school in Winnipeg. Brian gained experience by working in various kitchen positions and then went on to graduate from the Centre of Chef Training, Red River Community College in 1974. He married Pat Urbanski on September 30, 1972. Together they made their home in Winnipeg where Brian later became an executive chef. The couple moved to Fargo in 1996, where he became an executive chef at the Ramada Plaza Suites. Brian was a true artist in his vocation and in his hobbies. As a well-respected chef, he graced the cover of the Winnipeg Inn Magazine in recognition of his gourmet presentations and received many awards in his professional career. He earned recognition from the Canadian Federation of Chef de Cuisine in 1980 and represented Team Manitoba in the 1984 World Culinary Olympics in Germany and helped his team bring home the gold medal. He is survived by his wife Pat of West Fargo; his sons, Dennis (Lisa Hawkins) and Ken (Susanne) and his father Peter; his brothers, Henry (Carol) and Billy, all of Winnipeg. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Dave Urbanski; nephew Jason; and niece Karen. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the Roger Maris Cancer Center or the Canadian Cancer Society. Interment will be in Winnipeg, MB, Canada.
