AMY CATHERINE WIDINER (nee McLEAN) Amy Catherine Widiner (nee McLean) passed away after a courageous struggle with heart and kidney disease on August 13, 2001 at Surrey Memorial Hospital, Surrey, BC. Amys husband of 60 years, Joseph, passed in January 2001, and her sorrow was deep. Born June 26, 1923 in Silverdale, ON to Daniel and Catherine McLean, the family moved to Winnipeg, MB in 1931. Jo and Amy were married July 12, 1941 and had one son Gary. Amys life shone the brightest to her family, which along with her home, were her pride and joy. Surviving Amy are her son Gary (Phyllis) grandchildren, Guy (Sheryl), Joe (Marie), Toni (Brian), Alicia (Danny), and Todd; great-grandchildren, Brett, Dylan and Ashley, all of Langley. Also survived by two sisters who were very dear to her, Jean McLean of Winnipeg and Helen Felton of St. Catherines, ON; sister-in-law Joan Mclean (New West) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by Joseph in 2001; her parents, Daniel and Catherine in 1967; brother John in 1981; and sister Gloria Dunits in 1996. "She will be missed by all who knew her." Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 20 at Hendersons Funeral Home, 20786 Fraser Hwy., Langley, BC. Interment in Fort Langley Cemetery.
