MARY COCHRANE (nee SKRYPETZ) Peacefully on Wednesday, August 15, 2001 Mary Cochrane passed away at the Maples Personal Care Home, with her caring nieces, Bernice (Frank) Payonk, Minnie (John) Komish; nephew Carl (Nettie) Skrypec, at her side. Mary was born in Libau, MB on November 25, 1910. She left for Winnipeg at an early age, where she found employment as a homemaker. This was where she met and later married Amos Cochrane. Her hands were never idle, she enjoyed doing crafts, crocheting, knitting where her work was enjoyed by family members. Mary enjoyed her flowers and roses, they were her pride and joy. Predeceased by her husband Amos on September 15, 1971; son Walter on November 8, 1998; brothers, Frank, Martin, Bert, Michael, Jim and Tony. She was the only girl in the family and the last sibling to pass on. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 18 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., with Very Rev. Msgr. Wesley Cwieka officiating. There will be a viewing one-half hour prior to service. A private service and ash interment will follow at a later date. The nieces and nephews sincerely thank the staff of Maples Personal Care Home for all the compassionate and professional care. In lieu of flowers donations in Marys memory may be made to a charity of ones choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL in care of arrangements 586-8044.
