JEANNETTE PARENT (Retired teacher) After a lengthy illness Jeannette Parent, formerly known as Sister Joseph de Ste Marie S.N.J.M. passed away peacefully July 4, 2001 at Cairnsmore Place, Duncan, BC. Jeannette was born November 6, 1913 in St-Joseph, MB. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Rosina Parent (nee Brule), seven brothers and eight sisters. She is survived by her sister-in-law Pauline (Jean-Louis) Parent and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held August 18, at 2:00 p.m. at the St-Joseph Roman Catholic Church in St-Joseph, MB, followed by burial of ashes in the family plot at the local cemetery. Cremation took place at Saanich Crematorium, Victoria, BC on July 11. Special thank you to the staff at Cairnsmore Place, Duncan, BC for the excellent care that Jeannette received. Should friends so desire, donations in her memory may be made to the personal care home, Cairnsmore Place, Duncan, BC.
