MARY TKACHUK (nee MAZUR) August 29, 1904 - August 15, 2001 With much sadness, we announce the passing our mother and grandmother at the Concordia Hospital on Wednesday, August 15, 2001. Mary was predeceased by her husband John (1967) sons, Nicholas (1995) and William (1997). She is survived by daughters, Maria Kowalski of New Brunswick, Anne Forman (Basyl Holland) of Winnipeg; daughter-in-law Mabel Tkachuk; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Mary was a lady of great tenacity, working outside the home for many years while tending her family, home and huge vegetable and flower garden. She was devoutly religious, attending Holy Eucharist Parish and later Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, until such time as her health no longer permitted. Mary was a beautiful, loving and compassionate being, a very special lady with a ready smile and a helping hand whenever needed. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Thank you to all the staff, doctors and nurses of N3 East at Concordia Hospital and to Dr. Hugh Smith who took such excellent care of Mom over the years. Prayers will be said on Monday, August 20 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., with Rev. Fr. Darren Kawiuk officiating. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 21 at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Munroe and Watt Street, with Rev. Fr. John Sholdak and Rev. Fr. Darren Kawiuk officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Mother A blessed, peaceful and joyous journey home to God. Forever in our hearts, till we meet again.
