ROSE AGNES FIDLER (nee PERRY) Rose Agnes (Perry) passed away peacefully on August 8, 2001 at East View Lodge in Neepawa, formerly of Glenora, Neelin and Surrey, BC. Born December 12, 1907 at the Lea Bishops Castle, Shropshire England, she immigrated to Kinistino, SK with her parents, George and Agnes Perry and two younger sisters in 1923. Rose was the last surviving child of eight. While in Kinistino she did domestic work for various neighbours. On August 31, 1929 she married Roland Benjamin (Ben) Fidler in Melfort, SK. Five children were born into this union. Son Raymond (Gwen) four daughters, Winnifred (Mike) Wolowski, Doreen (Eugino) Maiolano, Margaret (Frank) Ginter, Ruth Engelbretson; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren, and five stepgreat-grand-children. She is also survived by sister-in-law Ida Fidler, one brother-in-law, and many nieces and nephews in Australia, Canada and England. Rose was predeceased by husband Ben in February 1981, son-in-law Karl in 1995, grandson Curtis in 1971, great-granddaughter Samantha in 1995, and by her four brothers and three sisters. Several highlights of her life included trips to Disneyland, Mexico and Hawaii. She will be sadly missed for her quiet loving nature by her family and friends. Funeral services were held on Monday, August 13 at St. Marks Anglican Church, Baldur, MB, with Rev. Dan Hughes officiating. Interment took place in the Greenwood Cemetery, Pilot Mound. Friends that so desire, memorial donations may be made in Roses memory to the East View Lodge Memorial Fund, Box 1240 Neepawa, MB R0J 1H0. amieson Funeral Service of Baldur-Glenboro were in care of arrangements.
