MOORE (nee JOHANNSON) It is with great sadness that her family announces Siggas death at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Monday, August 6, 2001. She was 89 years old. Sigga was the beloved wife of the late Robert H. Moore (1973). She is survived by her children, David Moore and his wife Gerd, JoAnn Collins, Loreen Rymes and her husband Donald; her grandchildren, Robert and Kenneth Moore, Barbara Jane and Jeffrey Collins, and Christopher and Andrew Rymes; her brothers, Tom, John, Francis and Robert Johannson; and her sisters, Blanche McLeod, Rena Arksey, and Louise Groom; and many other treasured friends and relatives. Sigga devoted her life to serving others in the communities in which she lived, Langruth, Flin Flon, Montreal, Galt, Falconbridge, Toronto and Cambridge. She was a proud member of the Timothy Eaton Memorial Community Service Group, especially the mending group, the Icelandic Club of Canada, the Mining Women and I.O.D.E. On Friday, August 17, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. a memorial service to celebrate her life took place at Timothy Eaton Memorial Church, Toronto. The Rev. Dr. Jean E. Hunnisett officiated. In her memory, her family is suggesting donations be made to INASMUCH, an organization to raise the standard of living of underprivileged people throughout the world, a charity Sigga loved to support.
