Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN LOUIS BOWLES After a brief illness, on Thursday, August 16, 2001 at St. Michaels Hospital I.C.U., in his 68th year. John, beloved husband of Lynda. Loving father of John (Noreen), Sarah, Brendan (Christine), Matthew (Laela). Survived by his brother Eugene; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sandy and Richard Cavanagh, Cindy and Don Currie. Predeceased by his brother Bernard. Will be dearly missed by his many nieces and nephews. John enjoyed a long and distinguished career as a litigation lawyer, both civil and criminal. Called to the Ontario Bar in 1961, after graduating from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law in 1959. Practiced in Chatham, Toronto, Winnipeg and Montreal. In House Counsel for Canadian Pacific Limited from 1978 to 1996 and most recently counsel to the Firm Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP. Will be missed dearly by his many family and friends. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral home, 109 Reynolds St. Oakville, 905-844-3221, on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 20 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Johns United Church, 262 Randall St., Oakville. Interment to Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Lung Association and St. Michaels Foundation.
