Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySARAH MAE ERB (nee RODGERS) 1909 - 2001 At Riverview Health Care Centre, Mae Erb passed away on August 20, 2001 after a lengthy illness. She was predeceased by her husband Frank Erb in 1936. Mae is survived by her daughter Lorraine (Claus) Deligdisch of Mission, BC and their family: Glen (Ruth) Deligdisch of Charlotte, NC; Judy (Dave) Wastle of Toronto, ON; John (Elaine) Deligdisch of Waterdown, ON and Lori (Hal) Schienke of Maple Ridge, BC; and by her son Lorne (Marnie) Erb of Sanford, MB and their family: Bruce (Cheryle) Erb of Sanford, MB, and Cindy (Rodger) Bestland of Brunkild, MB; and 11 great-grandchildren. Mother was active in the Sanford Community, Sanford United Church, Womens Institute, Red Cross and after her move to Winnipeg, she remained active in Harrow United Church and its seniors group, knitting for the Red Cross and many needle point pictures. She was employed by the Municipal Telephone System which later became the Manitoba Telephone System, and then worked for the Sanford Co-operative as bookkeeper/secretary until retirement. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 23 at 1:30 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, with Rev. Art Veldhuis officiating. A family graveside service will be held in the Sanford, MB Cemetery prior to the service at the Chapels. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff at Rimmer House and Riverview for their care and understanding provided to mother and support offered to the family.
