MYRON (MIKE) MOROZ September 27, 1922 - August 19, 2001 Myron Moroz died peacefully at Concordia Hospital at 78 years of age. Myron was born in Cooks Creek, MB. He is predeceased by his sister Mary (Kapko) and brothers, Harry, William, Peter, John, and Dan. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, Jean Coumont, Raymond Kapko, Elsie Nowicki, Gloria Konyk, Wayne Moroz, Stephen Moroz, Linda Holubowich, Morris Moroz, Rudy Moroz, Reggie Moroz, Randy Moroz and Zenon Moroz, and their families; and his adopted family, Marilyn Onisko, Joann Onisko, Laurie and Kevin Smart. Mike made his career with Manitoba Hydro and retired in 1981 after 32 years of service. During that time, his holidays were spent travelling across North America, visiting friends and making new friends. After retirement, Mike spent most of his time at his cabin at Lester Beach, pursuing his interest in bird watching and the natural plants of Manitoba. His cabin was an open house for all and he sprinkled it with his wit and good humour. In the winter, he skied, skated and pursued his passion for history through reading and classical music through his violin. "I looked across as far as I could see. I squinted against the brightness and saw where the water touched the edge of the sky. I had a feeling that this lake reached around the world..." The Corner Store Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Kapko, Troy Kapko, Anthony Guarino, Wayne Moroz, Kevin Smart, and Myron Spuzak. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Myrons name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 23 at 10:00 a.m. from the chapel of Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). A gathering of family and friends will be held in the reception centre. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 LAGIMODIERE BLVD. 982-7550
