FRANCOIS (FRANK) XAVIER DANIELS December 16, 1927 - August 20, 2001 Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, our father left us to be with his Creator. He leaves to mourn his passing his children, Ernest (Charolette), Paul (Norma), Robert, Joseph (Marilyn), James (Karen), Frank (Chantal), Marie, Agnes, Debra and Frances. He also leaves behind 39 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren. Frank was predeceased by his wife Lucie; and children, Sally, Joseph, Anne, Richard and Mark; his parents, Isabel and Joseph Daniels; his siblings, Edward, John Baptiste, Margret and Agnes. Dad instilled in his family a strong work ethic and a belief in education as a tool to better themselves. Dad worked hard to bring up his family, working as a bush cutter and labourer throughout his life. Our Dad was also the grandson of one of the original Counsellors in Sagkeeng, Joe Abston. Wake services will be held at St. Alexander Roman Catholic Church from Tuesday, August 21 to Thursday, August 23. Funeral liturgy will be held on Friday, August 24 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Alexander Roman Catholic Church. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery. Do not stand by my grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep I am a thousand winds that blow I am a diamond that glints on the snow I am the sunlight on ripened grain I am the gentle Autumns rain When you awaken in the mornings hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circle flight, I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry I am not there, I did not die. The family would like to thank the staff at the George M. Guimond Care Home for their kind consideration for our father during his stay in the home. SOBERING FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM, Beausejour, 268-3510 or Man. Toll Free 1-877-776-2220.
