JOYCE HEINRICHS (nee BORKOWSKI) After a lengthy battle with cancer, Joyce passed away peacefully on August 21, 2001 at the Riverview Health Centre with her family by her side. She was predeceased by both of her parents, Mary and John Borkowski. Her memory will be cherished by her loving husband Bill; and their children, Bill, Denise (Marc) Pinette, Doug (Lara) Pankiewicz, and Kelly. As well as her sisters, Patricia (Waldy) Humeniuk and Helen (Harry) Dzaman; her grandchildren, Tory, Alexandra, and Kennedy; and numerous relatives and friends. During her short life, Joyce was able to enrich the lives of all she met with her warm, caring and loving nature. Truly blessed are those who knew her as wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Special thanks go out to the staff of Health Sciences Centre and Riverview for their special care. In lieu of flowers, donations may made to the Canadian Cancer Foundation in her name. Prayers will be held at St. Bernadettes Parish, 820 Cottonwood Rd. at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 23 with a viewing at 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 24 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Bernadettes Parish with interment at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens, 455 Lagomodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint).
