Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY ALICE McFARLANE On Sunday, August 19, 2001 at the Carman Memorial Hospital in Carman, MB, Mary McFarlane, aged 72 years, beloved wife of Clifford McFarlane of Carman. Mary is survived by her husband Clifford McFarlane of 52 years. She is also survived by two sons and three daughters, Vern (Norma) McFarlane and their children, Michael (Sherry) and Brian (Nicole) Karen (Marcel) McFarlane and their children, Teresa (Peter) Sluzar, (Shane) Patrick Clark, and (Glenn) Rodney (Tina) Clark; Cheryl (Brian) Wood and their children, Jason (Sandra) Wood; Wendy (Frank) August and their children, Christopher, Nicolas, and Jenna; Allan (Pat) McFarlane and their children, Rene and Lyndsy. Mary is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Megan Sluzar, Jessica Sluzar, Corey Clark, and Kayne Clark; five brothers, Kenneth, Norman, Clifford, Gregory, and Delford; three sisters, Georgina, Willeen, and Winalda; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with being a devoted wife and mother, Mary spent a number of years working for the Boyne Lodge as a breakfast cook. She was the secretary for the Carman Friendship Centre for several years and volunteered a lot of time and energy towards the foundation of the Carman Active Living Center. In her retirement years she enjoyed bowling, singing in the choir and participating in the M.S.O.S. games. Marys love and presence will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral service will be held from Doyles Funeral Chapel in Carman on Friday, August 24 at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Glen Driedger officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, Carman. Memorial donations may be made to the Carman Active Living Centre, in care of the Town of Carman, Box 160, Carman, MB, R0G 0J0 or to the Carman Friendship Centre, in care of Ross Cahill, Box 57, Homewood, MB, R0G 0Y0.
