Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALICE AMELIA WILSON Alice Amelia Blackwell - Wilson was born in Peterborough, ON March 19, 1908. After the death of her parents she came to Manitoba in 1924 and lived with the Bathos. While working in a store in the Cameron area she met and married a school teacher and farmer, Frank Wilson in 1932. They resided on the Wilson farm from 1948 to 1975 and then they retired to a new home in Minnedosa. Alices love of life was evident in her infectious smile and friendly manner. She loved to play cribbage and Chinese checkers with her many friends. She loved to garden, go to church functions and visit friends. She moved to the Townview Manor in Minnedosa from 1991 to 2000 when she moved to the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg. She loved to travel and visit her daughter in Winnipeg. Alice enjoyed life and always found time to visit sick people and friends. She always had something nice to say about everyone. She was predeceased by her mother and father; her half-brother Frank Blackwell; brother Tom; granddaughter Sandra Cochran and her husband Frank. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Mary Cochran and Harold Olson of Winnipeg; her granddaughter Beth Cochran of North Carolina; and several relatives and friends. A service to celebrate her life was held in the Minnedosa United Church on Monday, August 20, 2001 at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Shawn Ankenmann officiating. Interment followed in the Minnedosa Cemetery. Sparrow Funeral Service of Minnedosa was in care of arrangements.
