GERALD WALTER CHRUNYK Accidentally, on Monday, August 20, 2001, Gerry Chrunyk passed away. He was predeceased by his father Peter. He is survived by sons, Matthew and Michael; mother Kataryna; brother Ray (Elsie) sister Patricia (Glenn) nephews, Justin and Alexander; uncle Paul (Waltrand) cousins, Peter and Irene; and his fiancee Theresa Kit. Gerry was born on May 1, 1955. He graduated from Red River Community College and began a varied working career. He started with Inco in Thompson, followed by employment with Canada Packers, Gainers in Edmonton, Fairford, and finally with Grannys Poultry in Blumenort. At every company he worked for, he was appreciated for his hard work and dedication. To his friends, Gerry was that person who would give you the shirt off his back. Regardless of the situation, they knew he would stand beside them. He was a passionate arm chair sports fanatic, especially NFL football. The weekends and Monday Night Football with his close friends were times he loved. Memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 25 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St., with Deacon Michael Woroby officiating. Service will terminate at the chapel.
