CELESTIN ESPENELL In the Foyer he did reside, Family by his side. Peacefully on Wednesday August 22, 2001, Celestin went into eternal rest, at the age of 84 years. Born September 21, 1916 in Ashern, MB. He married Jeanne Lemaux and resided in St. Lupicin, where they farmed and raised their family. In October 1982, they retired to Notre Dame de Lourdes. Celestin loved the farm, and had many interests, from fishing to hunting and trapping. He especially enjoyed his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife Jeanne of 53 years as well as four children, Muriel (Jim) Reiber of Ladysmith, BC, Marcel (Lorraine), Ron (Alice) all of St. Lupicin, Alice (David) Green of Treherne; 12 grandchildren, Lynn (Jason Layman), Brian (Tanya) Reiber, Michael (Gail) Espenell, Lionel (Jocelyn) Espenell, Andre Espenell (fiancee Tiffany), Norman, Robert, Gerald, Ryan Espenell, Jennifer (David) Kynoch, Todd and Kimberly Green; seven great-grandchildren, Connor Layman, Michael and Tyler Reiber, Jenaya Espenell, Derek and Tyler Espenell, and Dawson Kynoch. He also leaves to mourn one sister Cecile (Percy) Grainger and family; two sisters-in-law, Fernande (Henri) Espenell and family, and Alice (Raymond) Espenell and family; one brother-in-law Bill Baluk; and two sisters-in-law, Rose (Leon) Bourrier and family, and Louise (Norbert) Poiron and family. He will be missed by many relatives and friends. Dad, Pepere, great Grandpa, we love you and will miss you, may you rest in peace. He was predeceased by his parents, Felix and Henriette Espenell; one sister Therese (Alyea) Baluk; two brothers, Henri and Raymond Espenell; and by seven brothers-in-law, Cliff Alyea, Bertrand Bahuaud, Leon Bourrier, Norbert Poiron, Joseph, Armand and Roger Lemaux. Prayers will be held at Adams Funeral Home on Highway #244 South, on Sunday, August 26 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church on Monday, August 27. Recitation of the Rosary at 1:30 p.m., followed by funeral mass at 2:00 p.m., with Fr. Raymond Bremaud officiating. Interment to follow in the Notre Dame Parish Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, friends or family may send memorial donations to the Notre Dame Foyer or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
