ALICE PEEBLES (nee JAKILASZEK) May 14, 1924 - August 20, 2001 It is with great sadness that our family announce the peaceful passing of Alice Peebles, age 77 years, dearly beloved wife of John (Jack) Peebles and mother of son Garry Chapman (Marilyn) of Black Creek, BC and daughter Carol Lewis (Ron) of Niverville, MB. Alice is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Yoko Chapman (Curtis Knudson) of Winnipeg, Nicolette Chapman of Victoria, BC, and Stephen Lewis of Winnipeg and by her brother Tom Jakilaszek of Winnipeg. Alice was predeceased by her two sisters, Nellie Sucharov and Mary Payne and by her brother Phil Jackson. Alices kind heart and caring ways will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her family and friends. She cared deeply for her husband Jack, her children and grandchildren and was recently blessed with a great-granddaughter Elle Knudson. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. on Monday, August 27, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alices memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6.
