Val and Kevin travelled several times to the Hawaiian Islands and enjoyed many cruises together. Recently they traveled through England and Scotland. Val enjoyed many arts and crafts such as needlepoint, paper tole, crocheting Granny blankets which her relatives were so pleased to receive. To know her was to love her and she will be missed by all. In lieu of flowers donations to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3B 2H8 will be greatly appreciated. Our special appreciation to Dr. Rabson who cared for Valerie for many years. A LITTLE BIT OF HEAVEN A little bit of Heaven touched our lives while she was here. Her smile was the sunshine, And the summer rain her tears, A wife, a daughter and a sister, A granddaughter and a niece, A cousin and a dear friend, She was all these things in life. To show that Heaven has no bounds She lighted every soul, Filled empty space with memories, More precious now than gold. But Heaven is forever, The world is just an hour, And so dear Lord youve taken back, Your paradoxical flower. Please love her and protect her. As weve all tried to do, And light her way with starlight, On her journey back to you. And thank you Lord for letting her, Be with us for awhile, For giving us the tenderness, And the beauty of her smile. Please keep her young and happy, So when we meet again, Shell be the same sweet person, Well remember even then. Forgive us for our sadness, But we miss her here on earth, Now we know how very much, A little bit of Heaven is Worth. Lovingly remembered and so sadly missed by her husband, mom, dad and brothers.
