Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGWEN BERNHARD (nee SCHAAN) It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Mammy, Nanny and great-gramma on Thursday, August 23, 2001. She leaves to cherish her memory her three sons and their wives, Kelly and Dawn, Lionel and Diane (Dee-Dee), Robyn and Debbie, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of Winnipeg. Also left to mourn her are her sister Mae Onofriechuk and husband John of Wynyard, Sask., brothers Norbert and his wife Noreen of Regina, Sask., Lloyd and his wife Agnes of B.C. and Lance of Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her husband Edward and her sister Noreen Bauming. Gwen grew up in McNutt, Sask. and moved to Winnipeg in 1955. She worked in Deer Lodge Centre for 25 years. Gwen moved to Hamilton House in 1985 where she served on the Board of Directors for many years and was very active in organizing coffee, bingo, whist and other activities. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 27 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Chapel at Hwy. #1 East at Green Acres Lane. Interment will follow at Green Acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Bernhards memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301 - 352 Donald St., Winnipeg, Man. or the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, Man.
