Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH DOROTHY IRIS CURTIS (nee LIVINGSTONE) Peacefully on Thursday, August 23, 2001, Dorothy passed away at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Kenora, ON with her son at her side. Dorothy was born in Winnipeg on September 11, 1921. She is survived by her son George (Mary-Lynne) and loving grandchildren, Darcia and Christopher of Kenora; sister Isabelle (Pat) Coughlin of Winnipeg; brothers, Mel (Irene) of West Vancouver and Bruce of Winnipeg; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband George; her parents, John and Annabelle; sister Ivy; brother Allan and sister-in-law Lorraine. Dorothy spent most of her life in Winnipeg, moving to Kenora in 1997 to be with her family. A memorial mass will be held at Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, 222 1st St. North, Kenora on Tuesday, August 28 at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Alan Campeau officiating. A private interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Winnipeg. The family would like to thank all the nurses and staff on the 3rd floor of the Lake of the Woods Hospital and especially the Intensive Care Unit for all their special care and support. Further, we wish to express a sincere thank you to Dr. Jim Beveridge for looking after Mom for so many years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation, 21 Sylvan St. West, Kenora, ON P9N 3W7.
