ELSIE FOSTER (JOHNSON) (nee MOORE) Passed away peacefully on August 23, 2001 at Grace Hospital at the age of 93. Surviving are her sons, Kenneth (Mary) of Burlington, ON and Bruce (Shirley) of Winnipeg; five grandchildren, Stephen, Debra and David (Ken) and Wade and Carla (Bruce) and three great-grandchildren, Scott, Keltie and Leanne. Elsie was born May 12, 1908 in Lachine, QC and was the youngest in a family of 12. She is the last surviving member of her family. In accordance with Elsies wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 28 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Ken and Bruce wish to extend sincere thanks to the care givers of the Manitoba Eastern Star, Westpark Manor Nursing Home, Brenda Taylor of Winnipeg Home Care, and Grace Hospital (Winnipeg) staff who helped brighten Elsies later years. Elsie was a lifelong contributor to many charitable causes with her favourite being The Salvation Army, 500-55 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 1L8. To which friends may donate if they so desire.
