BRUCHA FUKS Brucha Fuks passed away peacefully at the Sharon Home on August 18, 2001 at the age of 92 years. Brucha was predeceased by her parents, Rivan and Rivkah Rochel Rosenberg; stepmother, Rochel Slotnikov; husband, Mendle; and sister and brother-in-law Eva and George Shooman. She was also predeceased by her cousin Adel and family in the Holocaust. She will be remembered with love by her niece, Marsha Weber, husband, Barry, and their children, Mark and Rochelle. Brucha was born in Tuchon, Poland, in 1928 and came to Winnipeg in 1928. She was employed at Standard Knitting for many years until retirement. She was a member of Chana Senesh Chapter of Naamat. Bruchas life at times was very difficult, but she always maintained a positive attitude. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, interest in and concern for others, her gentle manner and her keen intellect. She was a good friend to many. Graveside service was held on August 20 at Shaarey Zedek Cemetery with Cantor J. Smolak officiating. Our sincere thanks to the staff of the second floor, Sharon Home, especially Donna, Nada, Lydia, Denise for the care given to our aunt, particularly during the last week of her life.
