MARION GITELMAN (nee YAFFE) Marion Gitelman, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 18, 2001 at the Sharon Home Simkin Centre. She was surrounded by her entire family who never left her side during the last days of her illness. A kind and gentle woman whose inner beauty always shone, she made her family the core and centre of her life. Her sweet and lovely presence will be deeply missed. She was born in Winnipeg in 1913 to Esther and Nathan Yaffe and was predeceased by her husband, Louis Gitelman in 1975. She is survived by her daughters, Nessie Cogan and Lynda Wolfman and sons-in-law Harvey Cogan and Bert Wolfman. She leaves her grandchildren Dr. Allan Cogan and his wife Shawna, Sherri Cogan and her husband Ron Gall, also Lauren Posner, Susan Posner and Samuel Posner and Susie Wolfman, as well as great-grandsons Daniel and Noah Gall. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the dedicated and caring staff at the Simkin Centre and to Dr. Monika Czarnecka for her outstanding care and compassion. Funeral services were held Monday, August 20, at the Chesed Shel Emes with Rabbi Avrohom Altein officiating. Interment was at the Bnay Abraham Cemetery and shiva was observed at 723 Park Blvd. South. Our loving and devoted mother and grandmother will be greatly missed.
