MARGARET MICHALCHUK Margaret Michalchuk of Elphinstone, formerly of Winnipeg, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2001 at the Minnedosa Health Centre, at the age of 77 years. Margaret was born on May 30, 1924 at Elphinstone, MB to Michael and Katherine Zurbyk. On January 30, 1943, Margaret married Jack Michalchuk and together they had three children, Dianne, Gerald, and Eileen. She was predeceased by her parents, two siblings in infancy, and her grandson Jason Nylen. Margaret is survived by her children, Dianne (Glenn) Nylen, Gerald, and Eileen (Murray) Trott; and grandchildren, Marcy (Donovan) Nylen-Nemetchuk, Kerri Nylen, Lynne, Julie and Kristen Michalchuk, Kelsey and Kaylan Trott. Also surviving her are two sisters, Marie Nakonechny, Anne Dinko; brother-in-law John; three brothers, Norman, Rudy and wife Elsie, Earl and wife Eva; along with many nieces and nephews. Prayers were held at Raes Funeral Chapel in Shoal Lake on Thursday, August 23. Funeral service was held at St. Marys Ukrainian Catholic Church at Elphinstone on Friday, August 24. If friends so desire, donations in Margarets memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of choice. Vichnaya PamYat Raes Funeral Service of Shoal Lake were in care of the arrangements.
