Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY OSNACH With great sadness, we announce the passing of Mary Osnach on August 24, 2001 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her husband, Dmytro, on April 23, 1994; and eldest grandchild, Lonny, on August 18, 2001. Mom will be lovingly missed by her six children, Eileen (Phillip) Rosen, Janice (Dave) Leroux, Terry (Glenda), Wayne (Carol), Lenny (Val), Wendy (Jack) Swedlo. Baba will forever be cherished by her grandchildren, Nicole, Janice, Sacha, Michael, Shelley (Cory), Ivan and Andrew, Trevor (April), Shayne (Dawn), Blake and Johl; and her great-grandchildren, Rider and Shaye Lynne, Brendan and Samara. She is survived by sisters, Annie, Dorothy, and Sonia; and brothers, Bill and John. She was predeceased by brothers, Mike, Pete and Walter. Mary was born on August 22, 1924 to Ukrainian pioneers Onysko and Justine Troschuk on their homestead in Poplarfield. She married Dmytro Osnach in 1944 and moved to the family farm in Broad Valley. Mom was always an active member of the community - willing to lend a helping hand wherever needed. The pride she took in her gardening was also extended to her many flowers. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards with numerous friends. And always, her cooking was enjoyed by all that came to visit. Mom had many hobbies, but she especially enjoyed her travels. The family thanks the staff at the Percy E. Moore Hospital, especially Dr. Scholl. We are deeply grateful to Shannon and the palliative home care unit. Their warmth, consideration, and professionalism made a difficult time more tolerable. Viewing will be held Monday, August 27 at 8:00 p.m. at the Fisher Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Broad Valley Hall, Broad Valley, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7. Arrangements in care of Fisher Funeral Home, Fisher Branch, MB.
