PETER J. WARKENTIN 1911 - 2001 On Wednesday, August 22, 2001 at Boundary Trails Health Centre, Peter J. Warkentin, aged 90, of Tabor Home, Morden, formerly of Winkler and Haskett, went to his eternal rest. He was predeceased by eight sisters and three brothers. He leaves to mourn his passing, his beloved wife Sarah Warkentin (nee Elias) two daughters, Irene and Frank Kehler of Altona, Luella and Abe Klassen of Schanzenfeld; three sons, Ken and Linda Warkentin of Morden, Alan and Helen Warkentin of Haskett, Richard and Agnes Warkentin of Osterwick; nine grandchildren; and one sister Annie Thiessen. Public viewing will be held Saturday, August 25, 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Wiebe Funeral Home, Winkler and at the church prior to the service. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 26 at 2:30 p.m. from the Bethel Bergthaler Mennonite Church (south of Winkler, MB) with Rev. Ron Shiels and Rev. Otto Hamm officiating. Interment will follow at Winkler Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, 402-171 Donald St, Winnipeg, MB R3C 1M4.
