WILFRED HARPER PERRIN 1930 - 2001 It is with great sadness and sorrow we announce the passing of Wilfred Harper Perrin on August 24, 2001 at the age of 70. Wilf was born in Brockville, ON on December 28, 1930. He then resided in Ottawa, Winnipeg, Vancouver and eventually settled in Winnipeg. Wilf was predeceased by his father Wilfred Harper Perrin and mother Florence Viola Perrin (nee Langtry) and his beloved dog Thane, who was his constant companion. Wilf is survived by his wife Victoria (Vicky), who will forever miss her soul mate and confidant; son Chris (Siubhan) and grandson Rafferty of Toronto; and of Winnipeg, step-children Gary Moulder (Alexandra) Grant Moulder (Marilyn) Curtis , Ryan, and Ashley, Derek Moulder (Dawn), Deana, Melanie; sister Jyneen G. Horton (Robert W.) Robert B., Brian and David of Brockville; brother Donald R. Perrin (Jeanne) Pam, Sean, Greg, and Lynn; plus great nephews and nieces of Brockville, as well as his extended family and friends. Wilf was educated in Brockville at Horton and Victoria schools and attended Brockville Collegiate Institute. Wilf graduated from McGill University in 1954 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He was employed by Public Works Canada as a District Fire Commissioner and in 1981 was promoted to the position of Regional Fire Commissioner and he and Vicky moved to Vancouver, where they resided for five years before moving back to Winnipeg. Wilf was the kind of person that was always there when you needed him. He would never say NO to anyone. He loved working in the yard and looking after the pool and most of all working on his many crafts. A memorial service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB on Tuesday, August 28, at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wilfreds memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Street, Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3.
