Date of Passing: Aug 26, 2001
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET LILLIAN GRANT It is with great sadness and sorrow that our family announces the passing of Margaret Grant, aged 85 years, at Grace Hospital on August 26. Margaret is survived by her beloved husband of over 60 years, Alex Grant; and sons, James (Anne Marie), Bruce (Pat) of Sacramento; and daughter Marilyn (Bob Clasper) her beloved grandchildren, Kyle, Kevin and Kristopher of Winnipeg, Curtis, Candace (Brian), Malina and Larissa of California and Brian, Kimberly, and Douglas of Winnipeg. Margaret will be fondly remembered by sister-in-law Dorothy Grant of Burnaby and niece June Lychek of Thunder Bay; Anne Maries children, Rick, Daniel, Maria, and Monique; and Margarets close friends and neighbours who have been a great source of friendship and support, especially over the past few years. Margarets main joy in life was founded in her children and grandchildren of whom she was extremely proud. We were fortunate to have had a family reunion of the Grant Clan (Canadian) just two years ago. Margaret was especially proud and fulfilled by her association with the Grace Hospital Ladies Auxiliary of which she was an active member for over 30 years. As well, Margaret was associated with Knox Church where as a young person she met and married Alex, and later became a full member of the congregation. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to join in a celebration of Margarets life on Thursday, August 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., entrance on Aubrey Street. If friends so desire, donations in Margarets memory may be made to the Duval Foundation, 300 Edmonton St., Winnipeg, R3B 2M2 or Grace General Hospital Foundation, 300 Booth Dr., Winnipeg, R3J 2M7.
