MARIE (GROENING) KAUENHOFEN 1933 - 2001 Marie passed away on August 22, 2001 with her family, brother, sisters, nieces and nephews by her side. She will be sadly missed - if Marie could do something for you she would. She was like a second Mom to all of us. Her two brothers Johnny and Benjamin predeceased her in infancy, her mother Mary Groening in 1985. Marie had three children, Ivan, Brian and Arlene. She left behind six grandchildren, Steven, Shannon, Nicholas, Quinton, Natalie and Jordon; one daughter-in-law Judy. She also had four sisters, Marge, Evelyn, Eileen and Helen. She also had five brothers, Frank, Abe, Jake and Stan, who passed away on January 30, 2001, and Leslie. Marie had four sisters-in-law, Trudy, Mary, Suzanne and Jeanette; three brothers-in-law, George, Jake and Hubert; and she had many nieces and nephews. Marie was a rare person no matter what time we could call on her and we all did, but God decided she had Suffered enough on this earth, about five years ago she started having heart problems but before all that happened she enjoyed fishing where she broke her ankle, and she loved golf. We all know how lucky God is to have another angel up there, but we miss you so much. She will be laid to rest in Chortiz where she was born and Rev. Fraser Coltman will hold the service at the Winkler Lutheran Church. Wiebes Funeral Home is in care of all the arrangements.
