Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARCEL VAN DEN BUSSCHE 1927-2001 Marcel passed away peacefully at the St. Boniface Hospital August 25, 2001, surrounded by his family. Marcel leaves his loving wife of 47 years, Germaine (Laurendeau) his children, Leo (Sue), Juliette (Roland) Ritchot, Lucie Friesen, Roger (Cindy), John (Frances), Guy (Carol) his grandchildren, Karley and Katelyn Van Den Bussche, Jeannine Ritchot, Dawn (Darren) Highfield, Brian Ritchot, John and Nathan Friesen, Nigel (Suzanne) Morrell, Alicia Morrell, Colby Van Den Bussche, Noah and Amanda Van Den Bussche, his great-grandchild Morgan Highfield. Marcel also leaves his brother August (Madeleine) sisters, Malvina (Vic d 80) Van Den Bussche, Yvonne (Jules d 96) Van Den Bussche, Rachel (Edgar Van De Kerchove d 65) (Alex Campbell d 95) his in-laws, Irene (Camille) Ledoyen, Yvonne (Bernard) Cinq-Mars, Leon (Lucie) Laurendeau, Lucien (Rita) Laurendeau, Henriette (John) Verrier, Laurette (Paul) Champagne, Paul (Denise) Laurendeau, Yolande (Ronald) Tallaire, Ida (Roger Leclair d 72) Laurendeau, Emile (Nancy) Laurendeau, Marcel (Winnifred) Laurendeau, Gilbert (Diane) Laurendeau; numerous nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents, Camiel in 1951, Leonie (Ballegeer) in 1937; his brothers and sisters, Harry d 74, Oscar d 95 (Bertha), Laurent d 93 (Elza), Emma d 73 (Rene d 90) Ledoyen, Theophile d 01 (Rose), Alena d 97 (Omer d 81) Mestdagh, George (d 91) his parents-in-law, Adelard Laurendeau in 2000, Rita (Beaudry) in 1989; numerous nieces and nephews. Marcel was born and raised in Bruxelles MB. He worked at the Belgian Club for 11 years, then the St-Boniface School Board for over 22 years. Marcel enjoyed the company and conversation of his many relatives and friends, and especially enjoyed the visits from his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. May you rest in peace Dad . A celebration of life will be held at St-Adolphe Church on Wednesday, August 29 at 10:00 a.m. The family wishes to thank the Home Care Staff and the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care staff for their excellent care and compassion. Very special thanks to Fr. Pierre Dumaine, Fr. Roland Lanoie, and the pastoral care.
