PAUL LOEB It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Paul, on Monday, August 27, 2001 at the age of 89 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Martha; children, Douglas, Ruby Garand and her husband Gerry; grandchildren, Coreen Jeanson and her husband Ray, Maureen Beal and her husband Rob, Cheryl Dubeck and Garrett Garand. "Papa II", as he was affectionately referred to will also be sadly missed by his great-grandchildren Tyler, Julia and Jenna, and Danielle. Grandpa and Grandma were married on December 21, 1940. They farmed and raised their family in the Lydiatt District of Manitoba. While farming, Dad worked for the Manitoba Department of Highways. Dad and Mom sold the farm in 1966 and moved to Transcona. Following retirement, Dad spent many hours in his garage fixing all sorts of things and woodworking. He also enjoyed fishing and his Saturday afternoon pool games. Friends and families are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, August 30 at 7:00 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. #1 East at Green Acres Lane. Cremation will follow. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 31 at 2:00 p.m., also in Green Acres Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Pauls memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8. Our family wish to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Kevin Grace for his loving care, patience and understanding and to the staff of 3E, Concordia Hospital.
