Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEARLE EDWARD REID 1920 - 2001 Earle was born March 5, 1920 and passed away to final peace at home August 25, 2001 after goodbyes to friends and family. He was the son of Edward Hamilton Reid and Matilda Whitehead Cook and stepson to Hazel Cahoon and a brother of Clinton (Joyce) Reid and Joan Reid. He will be remembered by the Wallace families, Ellen, Alma, Edna, Gene, Wesley, Olive and the Turnbull families, Bruce, Arthur, Alma, Iris, Dela, and the Angus families, Mary, and the Boles families, Bertha, John, Bill, Gordon, Bob and the Braley families, Austin and Dorothy and in particular by cousins, Alex (Marguerite) Reid and Garnet (Anne) Reid, Ellen Durham, Alma Mayhew, Edna Brott, Della Sarsons, Arthur Turnbull, and Austin Braley. He grew up in Foxwarren, MB. In the Second World War he served in the Winnipeg Rifles as a sargeant and took part in the D-Day Invasion. He received a medal for bravery and was later severely wounded and suffered lifelong disabilities. He then walked the walk for over 30 years for Canada Post. He was very active in the Union as well as the Legion. He greatly enjoyed over 20 years of his retirement. Earle was married to Aldea Georgette Charron over 54 years and had sons, Robert (Tracy), Edward, John (Cherie), and Phillip; daughter, Margot (Bruce) grandchildren, Keith, Danielle, Stephanie, Quentin and Chantal. He also had special daughter Valerie (Angie and Christa) Ferguson and special son Alfred (Jackie) Ng. He will be remembered by the Charron families, Adolphe, Eugene (Linda), Phil (Marian), Jeanette, Raymond (Angela), and the Dupont families, Margarite (John) and Thelma (Ray) as well as the Lemoine families, Robert (Jacqueline) and Fouillard families Denis (Hortense) of St. Lazare. EARLE WAS HONEST AND CARING WITH A FINE MIND. EARLE WAS A GOOD MAN. Services 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 31, 2001 at Green Acres Memorial Gardens, 222-3241.
