VERA L. POHL (TAYLOR, DOWSWELL) Of Emerson, MB, on August 26, 2001, aged 78 years. Predeceased by her husband Robert Dowswell in 1960 and son Fredrick in 1990 and second husband Albert Pohl in 1991. Vera will leave a great void in the lives of her survivors: son Robert Dowswell, wife Monica, precious grandchildren Becky and Cody; daughter Linda Sherrett, husband James, stepgrandsons James and Scott all of Winnipeg. Sister Grace Surface of Wallhalla, ND and her family Margi and Mike Todd of Washington, Kevin, DeeDee and James of Florida; Elaine and Ray Carter of Morden, Jason of Alberta and Theresa and Travis of Selkirk. Sister Joyce Fraser and Wilton and her family, Shauna and Brian Remus, Melissa, Devon and Laura of Emerson and Bruce, Katina and Johnathan of Alberta and niece Judy Gilchrist of Emerson. A special word of thanks to many dear friends near and far and to the exceptional staff at Emerson Care Home and Hospital where Vera spent her last three months of life in comfort, and proudly her last 10 years of employment. Family, faith and friends, Good bye and God Bless You Sweet Angel. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 29 at 6:00 p.m. at Veras lifelong church home, St. Lukes Anglican in Emerson, located on First Street. A reception will follow at the Emerson Complex. Should you desire, memorial donations may be made to Emerson Hospital and Care Home.
