Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALBERTINE LAVERTU Albertine passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday, August 28, 2001 at the St. Boniface General Hospital at the age of 87. She was predeceased by her loving husband Oliva Lavertu in March 1986, her parents, Edouard and Augustine Cochet; brothers, George and Robert Cochet; grandchildren, Judy Levesque in 1980, Danny Levesque in 1992 and infant Devon Lavertu. Albertine is survived by her children, Marina (Jerry) Sarabin, Lillian (Roger) Levesque, George Lavertu, Ray (Judy) Lavertu, Gilbert (Denise) Lavertu, Claire (Bill) Mahood and Laurence (Rose) Lavertu, 25 grandchildren, 39 grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and brother Armand (Marie) Cochet. Donations in Albertines memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The family would like to thank the staff and doctors of the St. Boniface General Hospital 6th Floor for their kind and compassionate care. Prayers will be held in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. on Thursday, August 30 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 31 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Theresas Roman Catholic Church, 3597 Main St. Interment Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
