EVELYN FLORENCE LAWRIE (nee PIERPOINT) Passed away peace-fully at the age of 91 years, on August 27, 2001 at Vista Park Lodge after a short illness. She was born on April 16, 1910. Evelyn will be lovingly remembered by her husband Edward John Lawrie; her three sons, Bill (Gwen), Bob (Darlene) all of Winnipeg, and Gordon (Bernice) of Windsor, ON; grand-children, Donna, Edward, and Robert of Winnipeg, and Brent and Sheldon of Windsor; great-grandchildren, Justin, Jordan, Tiahna, Chelsea, Shelby and Noah all of Winnipeg; and her brother Lionel (Pat) Pierpoint of California. She was predeceased by her sister Grace King and brother Ernie Pierpoint. The family sincerely thanks the kind and caring staff of Vista Park Lodge for their personal care and patience. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 30 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Funeral service will take place on Friday, August 31 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vital United Church, 937 St. Marys Rd., with Rev. Brent Denham officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave., with a gathering of family and friends in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre.
