MARY TYSOWSKI (nee PROSKURNIK) Peacefully on Thursday, August 23, 2001, Mary Tysowski passed away at the age of 89 at St. Josephs Residence. Mary was pre-deceased by her husband Carl. Her father William passed away in Gretna when she was very young. He mother Maria passed away in Winnipeg, also four sisters, Pauline Mauthe and Kathleen Lutchyt of Winnipeg, Ann Karin of Montana, and Helen Werman of Cavelier, ND; also three brothers, John, Alex and Peter of Winnipeg. She also leaves nieces and nephews in Winnipeg and the USA. Mary was born in Gretna, MB and moved to Winnipeg in the early 1920s with her family. She married Carl in Winnipeg, then moved to Toronto, where they resided for some time. When Carl passed away, she brought him back to Winnipeg to be buried, then stayed here and worked at the Wheat Board till her retirement. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Josephs Residence for looking after Mary. Prayers will be held on Thursday, August 30 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Josephs Residence, 1149 Leila Ave. with funeral service on Friday, August 31 at 2:00 p.m. also at the residence.
