Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRONALD EDWARD WURSTER Ronald Edward Wurster passed away peacefully with family and friends at his side at the Grace General Hospital on Monday August 27, 2001. Ron was born July 16, 1943, in Grahamdale, MB, the fourth child born to Henry Wurster and Mary Elsie Hubert. Ron enjoyed a loving family life with his mother, father and three sisters on their family farm in Grahamdale. He was educated in a two room schoolhouse in Grahamdale; these were fond years that he talked about often. In 1966 he married Evelyn Marcella Hyra and they had two sons. Ron joined the Winnipeg Police Service in 1964. He enjoyed his work and all the men and women he worked with over his 36 years with the service. Rons real love was working on his Model A which he rebuilt from the ground up. He also helped rebuild the Reo-Speed Wagon for the Police Museum. Ron parted ways with Evelyn in 1990 and continued with life with his sons and enjoyed watching them grow up. Ron then met Ellen Stevens in 1991. They enjoyed ten wonderful years together, growing even closer in the past year. Ron was predeceased by his mother in 1974 and his father in 1991. He was survived by his loving life partner Ellen; his two sons, Gregory Ryan Wurster (Helen Roque), Bryan John Wurster (Felicia Vanbeselaere), and the boys mother Evelyn. He is also survived by three sisters, Shirley Marleen Richter (Harold), Evelyn Margaret Dillabough (Wilf), Joyce Florence Eyjolfson (Terry). Funeral service will be held at the Cropo Funeral Chapel on Friday, August 31 at 2:00 p.m. Friends, who wish, may make a donation in memory of Ron, to the Grace General Hospital, 300 Booth Drive, Winnipeg, MB, R3J 3M7. The internment will be held at Rons mother and fathers gravesite in Moosehorn, Manitoba. This will be a time for family only and we appreciate your love and prayers for us at this time. Special thanks to the wonderful doctors and nurses on the Cancer Care and Palliative Care Units at the Grace General Hospital. Thanks to the Police Association for all their help and support. Many thanks to friends and family for their love and support throughout Rons illness.
